Murali Sunkara, DPT
Murali is the owner and a physical therapist with over 16 years of experience in various settings. He completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Dominican College, NY. Murali excels in practicing, craniosacral therapy, myofascial release techniques, spinal manipulation and mobilizations. He has expertise in evaluation and treatment of patients with Orthopedic and Neurological diagnoses ranging from joint sprains, arthritis, muscle injuries and post-fracture care to post-surgical rehabilitation, back and neck pains, dizziness, balance deficits and joint replacements.
Meena Narula, MSPT, Feldenkrais® Practitioner
As a rheumatoid arthritis survivor, Meena understands what its like to live with functional limitations and constant pain. Her personal journey served as an impetus to her lifelong career in physiotherapy. Meena originally founded Barclay Physical Therapy in 1992. She graduated from Oakland University with a Masters Degree in Exercise Science and is certified in the Feldenkrais® Method. Meena's professional experience includes over 35 years in a variety of medical settings; hospitals, nursing homes, home health care, patient clinics and is former instructor at Macomb Community College. Her professional excellence has been recognized by the following: recipient of the 1997 Outstanding Physical Therapy Facility of the Year Award, recipient of the 1996 Outstanding Physical Therapist of the Year Award, and the recipient of the 1994 Star's of Hope Award. Meena's community involvement includes active membership in the Michigan Arthritis Foundation and serving as a former Board of Director for HAVEN.
Jessica Folk, PT
Jessica graduated from Youngstown University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. She has been working at Barclay Physical Therapy since 1999. Her continuing education has focused on manual and muscle energy techniques. She has received in-services in the Movement Behavior Modification Program® and is certified in the Neil Asher Technique® for trigger point therapy. Jessica has developed a program for evaluation and treatment of patients with sacro-iliac joint problems. She specializes in orthopedics and arthritis-related disorders and is also trained in Feldenkrais® by Meena Narula.
Kathryn Yax, PTA
Kathy graduated from Mott Community College with an Associates of Applied Science Physical Therapist Assistant, 1996. She has been employed at Barclay Physical Therapy since 1999. Kathy is certified in the Neil Asher Technique® for treatment of frozen shoulders. She has attended continuing education seminars in Mulligan’s manual therapy, treatment of TMJ disorders, orthopedic rehabilitation: knee & shoulder, bone & joint disease, spine symposium, and chronic pain management. She has attended in-services in the Movement Behavior Modification Program® and completed a course in “Rehabilitation Settings Tests and Measures”. Kathy is also Feldenkrais®-trained and has been treating patients in the method for tweny years. She uses her knowledge and personal experience with rheumatoid arthritis to assist physical therapists in treating patients with orthopedic problems and arthritis-related disorders. She is the Center Coordinator for Clinical Instruction for Baker College of Allen Park, Auburn Hills and Flint; as well as a credentialed Clinical Instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association.
Tiffany Hepworth, PTA
Tiffany graduated top of her class from Baker College in 2016, earning her the prestigious Magna Cum Laude distinction. As a student, Tiffany completed a clinical rotation at Barclay Physical Therapy and fell in love with her experience so much, that she asked to become hired. Tiffany furthered her studies by obtaining certfications in Kinesio Taping and treatment of shoulder complexes.
